HAWK 1/48 F2H2 Banshee from the Golden Oldie GB

Post by jssel »

This was my entry into the Golden Oldies GB. First released in 1957, this release was a special edition "Hobby Shop Only". Same kit but with Scale Master decals which made all the difference in the finish.

Nicely done. Is there a problem with the insignia on the starboard nose?

Thanks Nigel. Quite a Goober there. Just how does a modeler miss that? Any way, repair under way.

That is a very nice build Jeff. Hard to believe it is 60 years old.

Lovely build, Jeff. It's nice to see it in the later USN scheme too.

Very nice job, 'goober' and all (Where on earth did that word come from? ). It looks very sleek in that scheme
Best wishes

I followed your build of this classic in the GB and it really does look the business, Jeff. Very well done with it.

Very cool, Jeff. Looks like the 1957 kit has a much better shape than the 2016 Kittyhawk kit, with its bloated engines.
