For this I paid the Princely sum of £4.00 and this is my attempt at reproducing an aircraft that flew from my local airfield, Sywell Aerodrome.

A great model, very well done. And Sywell is a beautiful place. In fact that's where my avatar photo was taken.

All the best

I think the Arrow is one of Airfix's better kits from the 70's Ratch. OK, so it's not a fire breathing warplane but in my book there's nothing wrong with that and it's great to see one built.

The mid to late 70s was Airfix's best period before the modern kits started arriving.

Yes, the introduction of the Superkits and the broad array of subjects made it an exciting time. The Palitoy takeover put an end to that and not until Hornby have things looked up again. Let's hope they can repeat the broad church of genres and not just play safe ;-)
Thanks for your interest

Very nice work, Ratch. Not a type seen built very often.

Lovely to see one of these built.
For a few years I was a Cherokee pilot and I was tempted by this kit, but it being a PA-28-140 Cruiser (I believe) it does not have the tapered wing or longer wingspan of the PA-28-151 Warrior.
That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it!

Cheers,

David
