VNAF T-28 Trojan

VNAF T-28 Trojan, 1st Air Commando, 1964

This is the old Heller kit, and it stands the test of time quite well. For once I was even able to use the kit decals! The T-28 was the most common attack aircraft of the South Vietnamese Air Force, although it was a little too weak for combat aerobatics and didn't carry the most useful load. Nevertheless it was an important help to the South Vietnamese Army in the early, pre-USA intervention days of the Vietnam war.
This is going to be it for the VNAF collection until Wolfpack release their F-5C and Hi-Decal release the VNAF F-5 Freedom Fighter sheet (hopefully in the next year). Until then I'm going back to fast jets for a while.

That's a beauty. Great build and finish. I have had one of these in the stash for way longer than I can remember. Must get it done some day.

All the best.

Neat build. Another kit you don't see built often.

David

PS. I just read the Rhodesian Air Force tried to get some of these in the 60s but were thwarted.

Not a kit I've seen built before. Nice work

Really cracking build mate.

It would be nice to see it alongside both of your skyraiders.

Nice.

Was thinking I might have a go at mine soon - once the F-105 is out of the way.
