Hasegawa 1/72 Nakajima Ki-44 "Tojo"
Bought off eBay. Older Hasegawa kit:
Builds rather easily for such an old kit. Painting is spray silver with hand painted camouflage markings. Decals are straight from the kit.

NICE! Haven't done a jap plane in a while - i should change that
Waiting for the day, when wars for territory will be something to be read about in history books only.

Excellent! I like the 'mottling' effect on top of the silver, not easy at all to do
Best wishes
Jim
If you can walk away from a landing, it's a good landing. If you use the airplane the next day, it's an outstanding landing

Nice job, PMM. Did those old Hase decals behave themselves? I've had trouble with their older decals in the past.
Doing - Tamiya 1/35th Universal Carrier.

Yes Shaun, they worked out alright. I too have had problems with Hasegawa's old decals in the past. But for this build, they worked as advertised.ShaunW wrote:Nice job, PMM. Did those old Hase decals behave themselves? I've had trouble with their older decals in the past.
Thank you for asking.

That's a nicely done Tojo, great mottle.

That's a nicely done build, Allan. I haven't built a Ki-44 for my 1/72 Japanese aircraft collection, nor have I tried the mottling on natural finish before. Your build may cause me to change all that.

The Ki-44 reminds me of the P-47,well tidy model, well tidy indeed.

Nice work. Got this one somewhere in the deep stash as well. That field-applied green dappling looks good.

Very well finished indeed. The camouflage is really good. Another old kit well presented.
