2017 review

Post by shangos70 »

This year has been very hit and miss modelling wise. At the moment I just can't be bothered.
Anyhow its fast approaching the end of the year so I decided to do a recap of this years completions. The majority were Matchbox with the exception of the Revell Mig 21 , Airfix Mig 15 and Hasegawa's A-10 and Mig 27.

Not a bad score all round. I'd hate to see what you do when you're motivated.

That looks a very respectable tally for the year, certainly in quality if not quantity (although the quantity is equally impressive!)
Best wishes

Cheers folks, I tend to build in splurges and can get 3 or 4 knocked off over a month or so then I run out of steam. Anywhere around a dozen is a usual tally for me.

A great collection, Shane and I reckon that is a good tally for a year's modelling. Normally I average around four or five completions but so far this year I've managed three - but, hey, it's not a race and quality over quantity is my mantra, though the quality bit is sometimes open to interpretation :ha:

That's a most impressive output for the year and I especially like that MiG in U.S. Air Force markings. Not something often seen.

All of your 2017 models are magnificent work!

Well, there's an output to aim for. Particularly love the A-10 in Lizard One, but any one of them would grace a collection.

Very nice output. More important than the number of builds is the quality.

What's the point of cranking out a dozen plus kits each month if they all look like junk?

Right where you have a collection you can be proud of.

I think I like the A-10 or Flogger the most.
