Here another selection of little known US Navy aircraft.
Some never got past testing, some used in far away places.
For most of these I made the decals myself or used spares from the sparebox.
To everybody a very happy christmas and a lovely building 2018 !
First off is a beech JB-1 Command aircraft circa 1937 AZ models
Second is a Bell TH-13M used for training the Apollo astronauts and currently in the National museum of naval aviation in Pensacola. the model from Italeri.
Third up is a Lockheed XRO-1 Altair, used as VIP transport for the Assistent secretary for the navy in 1930. The model is from LF models.
Next is a DHC Otter U-1A used in antarctica, this particular Otter Bu.no. 142424 crashed there and was a total write off. Model is a Hobbycraft Otter.
Last is a Ford RR-1 Trimotor. Used as transport in the 1920's and 1930's. The model is an Airfix Ford Trimotor
