I'm not really that knowledgeable, Zee, I have a general interest in aircraft but there are one or two types that have really piqued my interest over the years and it so happens that the '262 is one of them (not that I've built a model of one on here  ). 'Schwalbe' is a common enough nickname, Zee and there's no need to alter your thread title on account of my Me-262 geekiness! More often than not these days with types that I'm less familiar with (honestly, that's most of them :ha: ), I look at pics on Google Images (as I'm too tight to buy books) and failing any decent reference photos I put my faith in the kit manufacturer!

Shaun, if you asked me to tell you every single detailed yearly change to the Chevrolet Camaro from'70 to '81 then it would be me putting my anorak on! We all have an area of piqued interest mate!

I used to work with a chap who knew every change to the Spitfire through all the marks in real detail. But he knew nothing about any other planes and didn't make models!

That is a very nice build indeed and the painting is spot on in my opinion (for what that is worth?) You certainly seem to be able to turn these old kits into little gems - (rather like another of our membership does with vacuforms). I really admire you people who spend time and patience reviving these older kits and giving them a new lease of life. Sometimes simple really is best - and you have proved that with this one.

Hi Zee28,I like you find myself building more CBK theses days.I have done a couple of Frog kits but have not done this one,as I am not a fan of jets, but your model has tempted me to get one,so I have ordered one from a certain second hand kit retailer and I shall post pics when its done.Well tidy mun.

Hi guys, thank you so much for the kind words but, to be honest, it was just an OOB build form an old CBK kit, any of you could do it better.

In my case, simple kits for a simple man. Me.

Knockout build on that old kit!
It's great to see so many old kits brought to life in this forum.

Thanks for the nice comment Skypirate, I'm flattered, bearing in that your models are exceptional! Mine are, in reality, just speedily assembled OOB CBKs.

Cracking job Zee. I first built this about 8 years agos, picked another up recently to have a better crack at it.
