A tale of two Lightnings

Post by celt »

Just recently I have built two jets, you can count on the fingers of one hand the number of non piston models I have built. The first is by Tamiya and in an odd scale 1/100. And the second by Airfix in the proper scale of1/72.Both models were painted by brush with acrylics and did not bother the filler tube.

Nice pair. I'd never have guessed they were brush painted.

Excellent work!

If you can walk away from a landing, it's a good landing. If you use the airplane the next day, it's an outstanding landing

Very nicely done with both of these, Ken. I do like a nice Lightning (English Electric or Lockheed P-38!).
Doing - Tamiya 1/35th Universal Carrier.

Work is the curse of the modelling classes!

That's a superb finish on both of them. Very inspiring builds.
