My least favourite aircraft

Post by celt »

To paraphrase someone else,do I not like Spitfires. I do not build Spits but a friend of mine from the model club I go to gave me this to do.I originally built it in camouflage but saw a NMF example built up and decided to strip my example and a dip in brake fluid and it was ready for the new scheme.Remember when I said I don't rate the Spit, well with clipped wings and a NMF,it looks quite nice.Anyway,as is usual all paints are acrylic daubed on with a hairy stick.

Good job with the brush-painting!
What have we here? The old Heller kit?

Cheers,

David

Looks like the Heller kit - which is a nice little model.

Excellent job!

Thanks, Ken. I'll have to see if I can order some Revell acrylics over here. I'd like to be able to brush silver like that.

Very nice work. I also like the Heller Spit. Lends itself well for many conversions.

That's turned out very well, Ken. Perhaps it's time for you to turn your attention to a Hurricane, a type which I believe you rate quite highly

Excellent NMF especially with a hairy stick. That is a very well made Spitfire - good job all round.

Nicely done. I especially like the landscape you have it set against-reminiscent of the Nile delta with the desert in the background with interesting cloud formations on the horizon.
