Tasman 1/72 DH Dragon Rapide

Post by Migrant »

This is the Heller kit, re-boxed by Tasman to include some 3D printed parts for the under-wing neon advertising signs. The fuselage windows were replaced with thin acetate and some interior details added. Rigging is Uschi van der Rosten thread.

Yes - lovely work. I read the magazine article too. Heller's kit is quite nice but Migrant takes it to an altogether different level.

I've had mine in the cave for many years. Yours has inspired me. An absolute stunner. I'll do mine, however, in Aussie markings. The rigging and finish on yours is OUTSTANDING!!!!

Excellent work!
I'm wondering if the neons could be illuminated using nylon fibre optic.....hmmmm
Best wishes

Beautifully finished model as always Mike. I think If displayed inflight the neon sign would be more visible.

That is a beautiful build, Mike, as always from you and the re-boxing of this kit by Tasman with those under-wing neon advertising signs is inspired.
