Mig 15 - KP Models 1/72

Post by VickersVandal »

This is the ancient KP kit. Pretty crude and bare bones. I decided not to go to town on it and just went with an OOB. Raised panel lines and all.

I started on it last year for a model club theme but didn't get it finished. It languished until now. Finishing a Mig 21 for the Over 50s GB gave me the kick to get this done.

It's in North Korean markings from the Korean War. Painted using a spray pack of chrome paint from the auto parts store. Not the best finish by any means but it got it built and that was all I was after.

I wanted to do the Korean scheme anyway but that red nose just sealed it.

Nice to see an old type (as well as kit) being built. Good finish especially the nose.
