I remember doing this one as a mere youth. Not a bad kit if memory serves, and you've made a splendid build there.

uavdb wrote:Beautifully done model. I have the Revell OV-10B, which is the same kit with German decals. I think most of us older modelers really enjoy building these "vintage" kits. There's just something more enjoyable about them that beats sawing resin parts and dealing with vac canopies. I just started a Matchbox Westland Lysander and an ancient Lindberg Henschel 129....oh those old kits are worth their weight in gold....not really, but close to it.
Thank you everyone for the kind words.

Older kits like this one have a certain charm in my view. They are rather simplistic and easy to build, especially when compared to today's more complex and highly detailed kits. As I get older, I find myself wishing for simpler times and kits that are less complex. This is why I like to mix in a few of these older kits into my building schedule. They bring me back to a time in my life that seems much less hectic and stressful than today.

A really nice job there, Pmmaker.

I built the Airfix version in Marines colour scheme a while back, but I'm afraid it hasn't made it onto the forum as I'm so disappointed with the decals (they've silvered terribly and seem to be very over-sized). I hope to sort that out soon.

But you've done a great job and I agree with you about the older kits :)
