Airfix 1/72 Hurricane mk1

Post by Stamford »

Straight out the box then coated with tamiya acrylics. Did the underside a while back but got a bit of mojo back to finish him off. Great little kit really. Stamfords tip of the day - the front windscreen is attached to the sprue by a thin tab at the top, just leave a mm and hey presto a rear view mirror! The landing lights are nicely done too - a toothpick dab of silver in the round recess on them on a black background and they pop out nicely.

Its not just how good your painting is, its how good the touch-ups are too.

A very well presented Hurricane. I really like the black/white under surfaces on these early machines. Lvely model in every way.

Top job Stamford, that looks a treat!
Best wishes

If you can walk away from a landing, it's a good landing. If you use the airplane the next day, it's an outstanding landing

Well done! The yellow spinner certainly gives it a lift.

That's a lovely job Stamford.

I've got a Hurricane in my stash, hope it looks as good as yours when it's done. Oh, and thanks for the tip about the interior mirror ;-) .

Nice one, I'm going to burn in hell but I think I prefer the Hurricane to a Spitfire.
