Airfix Meteor "Mk.IV" Belgian Air Force

Post by did_nev »

This one started of as a wreck and had some major surgery to the engines to depict a Mk.IV
It took a loooooong time to finish. Hope you like it.

Thx, just rattlecan-aluminum. Mostly I use rattlecans to paint "uni-coloured" aircraft.

I cut out the fronts and backsides of the engine-bays. I added some plastic-card and used some leftovers from the Matchbox NF.11. Miliput did the rest

Good job - but I would have used the FROG F4, or the Revell F4, or the MPM F4......

I like that. Which rattlecan in particular is it? The one I chose looks nowhere near as good as that.

No worries, I've got 4 of them in various stages of completion, but they have 2 kinds of intakes, the big and smaller intakes. So that was sorted.

When I started this project, I didn't have a FROG one in the stash and when it was nearly complete, Revel releases the F4... off course, just my luck

Just a generic spraycan from a general market-store overhere, I always look at the cap to see it has the proper "sheen/shine" (is this correct??). Don't look for silver, but for aluminum white or aluminum.

thx for your comments.
