Airfix Meteor "Mk.IV" Belgian Air Force
Airfix Meteor "Mk.IV" Belgian Air Force
This one started of as a wreck and had some major surgery to the engines to depict a Mk.IV
It took a loooooong time to finish. Hope you like it.

Nice build. is that a humbrol aluminum variety?
Re: Airfix Meteor "Mk.IV" Belgian Air Force
Thx, just rattlecan-aluminum. Mostly I use rattlecans to paint "uni-coloured" aircraft.Saxon wrote:Nice build. is that a humbrol aluminum variety?

Good looking model. I like the paint and markings. Lyell

I cut out the fronts and backsides of the engine-bays. I added some plastic-card and used some leftovers from the Matchbox NF.11. Miliput did the restPaulBradley wrote:Very nice! What exactly did you do to the nacelles?

Good job - but I would have used the FROG F4, or the Revell F4, or the MPM F4......

I like that. Which rattlecan in particular is it? The one I chose looks nowhere near as good as that.
Re: Airfix Meteor "Mk.IV" Belgian Air Force
No worries, I've got 4 of them in various stages of completion, but they have 2 kinds of intakes, the big and smaller intakes. So that was sorted.PaulBradley wrote:Leftovers from an NF.11? What did you do to the NF.11????

When I started this project, I didn't have a FROG one in the stash and when it was nearly complete, Revel releases the F4... off course, just my luckBrews wrote:Well, if it was a junker before, it's certainly a Phoenix now. I wouldn't have taken your route to get to an F.4 (I have a few FROG F.4s) but I admire your effort.
Just a generic spraycan from a general market-store overhere, I always look at the cap to see it has the proper "sheen/shine" (is this correct??). Don't look for silver, but for aluminum white or aluminum.Aerosol Grey Machine wrote:I like that. Which rattlecan in particular is it? The one I chose looks nowhere near as good as that.
