Tom's third attempt - Z is for Zlin

Post by TomW »

As the title suggests, build number 3 will be an example of the Zlin-42M, a twin seat trainer/tourer from czechoslovakia, kindly provided in kit form by Hobbyboss.

This kit is a little unusual as it is mostly molded in clear styrene and has even fewer parts than the other two I'm building:

Roll on the first

The use of clear styrene is somewhat unusual and the amount of parts is such that perhaps even I could finish this one in a month!!

I've built this one Tom. Lots of nose weight of course, but also expect to have to shorten the nose gear strut a little to get it's 'sit' anywhere near level. Sorry, but I don't remember just how much I took out. Aren't those clear moldings just beautiful though?

Thanks for the tip on the nose gear Barry :) and I agree, flawless clear moldings which should for once mean my canopy should be a breeze.
