Academy 1/72 OV-10D Bronco "Desert Storm"

Post by Nax »

As the title says a Bronco and it was a pearler to put together, too easy in fact, a tad of filler and the rest was a very good fit. I used Humbrol Enamels with a final coat of Tamiya clear-rattle can. I noticed there is frosting on the clear parts, I'll have to get some "Clearfix" or similar before I attack my Storch.

NB; Anyone thinking of building this kit be aware that the constructions recommend 8 grams of weight in the nose, this is impossible, I weighed out 8 grams of No 7.5 shot and I could only get 3.89 grams into the nose, see picture, this weight of "4" grams is enough to keep this bronco on its feet. ;-)

Nice one, I haven't seen a Bronco for a while and never in those colours. Tight squeeze for the nose weights!
