Contrail 1/72 Douglas B7

Post by vacant »

This was quite a complex one to construct because of the multitude of struts between engines, wings and fuselage, but it got there in the end. I have found no angle from which this aircaft can be photographed to made it look anything other than ungainly. It was not one of Contrail's best vacforms but it can result in a sound if fairly basic representation of the aircraft.

Odd looking beast, isn't it? You look to have made a good job of it, though.
I'm a mostly full-time modeller put a part-time poster....

One that I started ages ago but haven't finished yet. Were you able to find any drawings/photos of the interior?

Drawings of the interior - afraid not. I was happy enough to get the exterior into decent shape.

what an awesome looking airplane! Nice build up too. Great work on the chrome yellow wings. They look very smooth. What did you use?

The yellow is Tamiya Flat Yellow acrylic XF-3, handpainted (I don't have an airbrush), then given a coat of satin varnish.
