Revell Tornado F.3 ADV

Post by Motley »

As started on my workbench thread, which i havent updated in awhile  , here is the finished product. I was going to document all the stages of the build but as per usual for me i got into the build and totally forgot about taking pictures. I wanted to try my best with this model and the outcome is what i believe to be my best mdoel to date and the one im most proud of. Within the build there was a few things id never done before such as painting the canopy, which i feel i have done quite a good job with seeing it was my first try,

Finished in the scheme of ZE764 of No 11 Squadron based at RAF Leeming,

Very nice. I sat in that actual aircraft once at Leeming. I really must build that kit.

I like this one too....and congratulations on the nice, crisp canopy frames. It really enhances the overall appearance of the model.

You lucky lucky person, i love Tornados so would love to be able to do that, but my plan is to join the RAF once im done with college so i may be able to do just that in the future :)

Painting the canpoy really did make a diffenece, ive just been put off doing them up till now but now ive done it nothing to it really might be easier if i use tape of some sort in the futre :ha: :)

tornados wont be around for much longer...F3s have already finished.....
I also sat in that aircraft at Leeming in 1991. It was painted to commemorate their new boss Wing Commander David Hamilton (DH).
Really nice finish, really looks striking you really have done it justice....
