Westland Whirlwind Mk I, 263 Sqd RAF, late 1941.
From the box, panel line rescribed, spinners and props from the Polistil Kit.

I think that modeling is a subtle mix of zen philosophy and absolute crazyness - but in my case I would not dare to specify the respective percentage of each......

As an aside in the background there seems to be a very modern aluminium trailer. :shock:

Looks great! Looks as good as a new kit coming onto the market today.

I have one of these in the stash, plus the Falcon vac canopy. You've inspired me to build it soon!

An excellent model of an aeroplane that I remember building in my early teens and has fascinated me ever since. Very good finish - very convincing.

Looks quite the boss. Especially with re-scribing treatment, it looks wonderful.

Nice work.

Did you know there's a group trying to put together a full-scale, non-flying replica of the Whirlwind? Hope they manage it - it's a sorely forgotten type!
