Looks a heck of a lot better than it's humble begins would suggest. I do like the transport command scheme I've and Anson C21 to do that way but I've cheated and erm bought blue cheat lines.

Well done and informative. I see it is not tail-sitting, congratulations !

It was still a tail sitter in spite of packing the nose and front of the nacelles. I have propped it up with a thin rod of stretched clear sprue inserted under the fuselage. I have not edited it out of any of the photos so it will be visible of the camera angle is right.

That's a nice result. I'd certainly be happy with it. I have a tiny Welsh Models one, but have not got anywhere near building it yet.

Stunning result. Especially from such a basic kit.

It puts me in mind of this picture I took a few weeks ago.

Image

It's parked at RAF St Athan and I go past every day on my way home from work. Occasionally it goes up for a flight.

It's not quite as realistic as yours though vacant ;-)

I was away when this thread was being developed. Terrific job. I have a couple of those and may (repeat may) one day summon up the courage to try. Thanks for leading the way.

Dazzled, judging by how big the fence looks like, this one has to be 1/200 or similar :).

A chap I work with was on Pembrokes and he said if they didn't have a tail prop fitted on Friday night, they would all be tail sitters on Monday morning. ;-)

Got one of these on the way, anyone got an idea of u/c wheels and prop diameters? Havent much in the spares box so will probably have to make them unless someone can suggest a suitable donor.

Regards, Roger.

I will second that. Excellent stuff. There was one flying at Sunderland Air Show a few weeks ago which I was lucky to see.

Seeing the real thing and your model to me you have done the best renditions of one I have seen. Amazing stuff.
Cheers
