Titan's White Angel****Finished***

Ok , I've been sanding and filling around the port intake and under surface of the fuselage mainly.



I glued the nose on and when dried I took the strakes off and filled the gaps left with Mr putty.



I enlarged the braking jet outlets as they were on the small side but made a pigs ear out of that so stalled slightly whilst I figured on how to proceed.I will leave that until near completion of the build, I do have an idea but don't want to get bogged down with it right now.
So I gave a first coat of primer and a light sand to see the areas that would need the most attention but surprisingly there wasn't anything major.



I enlarged the burner can and gave it a slight bevel to the edge which improved it some what.



Ignore the breaking jet outlets for now..



So with some more micromesh polishing cloths I managed to get a nice smooth surface and masked the nose of ready for some Nato black, oh and the breaking jets also.



I gave a quick squirt of Nato black and got a little bit of clean up to do as I didn't press down the masking tape firmly enough.



I'll leave it there for now and go and have a fettle of the Airfix Fw 190d.

Having been relieved of Chrimbo shopping duty this morning on the account that the girls wanted to go it alone I was at a loose end( Marky no mates as it were ). I decided to attack the interceptor as the house was all quiet like and less chance being interrupted, so masking was done for the red areas which I sprayed with Tamiya XF-7. This time I burnished the tape down enough and I had no bleed to contend with.
I used some Mr Putty on the breaking jet outlets which seemed to do the trick, not perfect mind and it was a quick fix as I was going to use some thin plasticard to box it off like Mr Perrin has done with his model.
I think now though I will give it a coat of Klear as with all this handling I do not want to spoil the finish with grubby finger marks..







I think I will add all the Splitters and the coaming next and clean up the canopy a bit before masking that for a coat of paint.

Whilst I myself am not a lystomer I fully appreciate the need for the internet and especially modeling sites such as this one to be policed for any and indeed all gramatical errors, although I myself would not presume that a person would want to be corrected and so I abstain from doing so.
I am glad that you feel more than qualified to take up that role and people such as yourself are clearly making a difference in today's society.
I actually do find it very rude to be corrected by somebody who I do not know and whilst you are of course correct in your observation it is normally good manners to point it out in a none superior way.
That said I hope you do not take any offence as like yourself I just felt the need to say that.

Only just seen this Mark, looks great. Any chance we can see the underside with the big 'A'?

Sure thing Mike, sorry the quality is not so good had to take in a hurry from photo site B..
The A decal itself was easy to apply and could be moved around into position without any tearing.
