Bluesteels OOB Angel

Post by bluesteel »

...or What-If Coastal Command had Angel Interceptors to carry their torpedoes.

An unusual paint scheme, from all white to, er... err.... mostly white.

I've not forgotten about it... I'll be starting here once I get the first coats of Primer on the Hampden TB1 in the Hampden GB

It took a little longer than I'd estimated to get the Hampden finished, so change of plan for this one and I'll build out of the box as a Spectrum Angel.

OK so not quite OOB. Make a start and decided to depict one of the Angels being inserted into her cockpit from beneath, which means cutting out a section of floor and working to upgrade the very basic seat shape included in the kit. I've also replaced the too large pilot figure with a slightly smaller one with hands on legs, as needed to ride the elevator seat:

Not sure if I'll manage to finish this by the 18th now. I managed to get a deep cut in my left index finger today, not the fault of any modelling related incident, but I was attempting to remove a Server from racking when it got stuck, then suddenly unstuck, but my finger was between it and the sharp metal rail! I guess I'm lucky it didn't take my finger off entirely. Anyway a big plaster on it now and it's awkward to handle things at the moment as it's still quite painful. I'm one finger typing too.

Hopefully it'll be OK by the weekend, and I can have a mini Blitz to get it finished. If not I'll transfer to my workbench thread.

Ouch! the insides of computer casing etc are dangerous places for fingers. I've nicked myself more than once. Hope for a swift recovery!

With my finger trouble improving I've started work on it again and with the extension to the 21st I might get a lot more of it done now. Working on the cockpit comings and seat:
