Actually, Brews has it backwards. Nyquil is the liquid "nighttime" cold medicine and can cause, well, you don't want to run heavy machinery or Badger airbrushes under the influence. DayQuil is the non-drowsy stuff.

Last night I applied some wash to the control surfaces and other engraved panels and right now I am glossing things up for decaling.

Having good luck today with the decaling. Everything has settled nicely and a second coat of Future put down. The boarding step build has begun and have set two lengths of sprue glued in. A small section of sheet stock will bridge the two to complete the assembly. Now it is back to the decal bank to look for any fuel labels and a first aid location marker.

The spiral that is on the prop spinner is lightly penciled in and will be painted once I get my nerve up.

Eeked out a little more bench time today. Here is the update.

Sourced out me triangle placards for both sides of the Fdub:

Completed the boarding step:

Added the retraction indicators for the landing gear:

Time to start wrapping up this little lot. Out with the 3x5 card to make my finishing list. Maybe my LMS will have another waiting for me.

Finished up the spiral and mounted the prop this morning. It was done with a 10/0 hairy stick. I had first drawn on the mark with a pencil and just filled in afterwards.

Today I hope to apply the final matt coat to tie it all together and mount the glass and antenna. As far as the RDF loop on the undersurface, I have experimented with fine sheet bent around a cocktail stick as an option. I do have a small piece of P.E. fret that could be bent to shape but I am trying to do this one without modern stuff.

Going to call this one finished. Overall it is an excellent little kit. A great Blitzer if you wanted to go that way. The newer release has some awesome decals and would save a lot of scrounging as I did. But to me it is all part of the fun. I have another on order with Airfix-USA.
