I'm nearly there Brews. I've just got back online at home after nearly three weeks.

After finishing the camouflage I painted the areas where the German markings would have been. Not knowing which shade I went for Light Aircraft Grey as photos show it to be a very light shade. The sliding part of the canopy was painted the same colour.

A couple of coats of Klear later it was time for the decals. Although the instructions show stars in eight positions there were only six on the sheet. :???: Luckily I had aHasegawa MiG-21 which included stars of the correct size so I put those under the wings. This is how it stands at the moment.

Just the propeller and tailwheel to add, a bit of painting and a coat of matt varnish and it'll be finished. It certainly looks different with red stars on it.

I finished 'Red Dora' today. I'm not sure if it was because mine was an early issue but it went together well and use of filler was minimal.

Here she is.....

Fw 190D-9, W.Nr. 210251, captured by the Soviets in Marienburg in March 1945 and later tested by the NII VVS.

I enjoyed this build, so much so that the Dora I've had languishing in a semi compleed state for the last 18 months is nearly finished too.

Very nice build and thread. Refreshing to see one in a different scheme. Very cool.
Besting 60 years of mediocre building of average kits in the stand off scale
