Re: Virgin Atlantic Global Flyer
Since our noble GBL asked, here is a picture of paint drying ....
I mixed up Hu15 & Hu68, about 5:1, and painted the tail pieces and under fuselage. Seems to be drying well and I can probably get the rest of the decals on tomorrow ....

Martin, not sure I understand the question ?
There is"Ferrari Red" on the vertical fin & rudder and on the engine pod (which you can't see).

Sorry. Ferrari's badge is of a rearing stallion and to the Top Gear fraternity that is a prancing horse.
I thought that the fin decoration was all a decal! So is just the white striping and Virgin logo the decal?

Martin

Sorry, not a car guy ...
The tail decal is the white stripe, the logo, and a blue stripe along the rear. I overpainted the blue stripe with same color as on the end of the boom to make them match.

Re: Virgin Atlantic Global Flyer
Here we are, like the Voyager I took some shortcuts. The decals are really sensitive -- thin, sticky -- and I figure if I could get them on close, that was good enough. Some got left off.
My paint mixes came out OK. And this was brush painted.
These long thin wings are an issue (again note the 48cm span) -- hard to paint smoothly because they bend; if you're not careful too much force could cause the fuselage seams to crack (how do I know?).
Still, this and the Voyager will look nice hanging from the ceiling ....
Good GB, thanks for honchoing it Martin !!!
