SMW 2012 Display Poll

Post by JamesPerrin »

Despite some people's comments the theme of 2012's display has not been decided and is neither a forgone conclusion. All CBK SIG members get to vote for the display that they would like to participate in.

To stop artificially splitting the vote I've collated the various variants on a theme into one. If one of these proves popular a further round of voting will decide the specifics. If you wish to specify a second choice please do so in a post below. In the advent of a tie these second choices will be taken into again.

Please look again at the suggestions and discussion in Telford 2012 Display Suggestion thread http://uamf.org.uk/viewtopic.php?f=196&t=2318;

Oh yeah and if your suggested idea wins then I would hope you will be willing to help run the GB ;-)

I went for 1st's and Record breakers.
2nd choice would be an A-Z and third, the Box Art.

Best of British doesn't appeal at all, as it's a theme I've seen many times before.

Bruce

I went for Box Art II -- but we must keep up the standard with interesting, dynamic, eye-catching box art not, as Merlin said, "any boxart that could be reproduced". Although we might loosen the standard, so to speak, to get some variety into the display, but certainly not just another airplane.

My 2nd choice would have to be the A-Z theme ...

It's my model and I'll do what I want with it.

Stilll a fan of Best of British - we can make this interesting and different, given the talents of the folks here.

I like the idea of an A-Z but a continuation of this year with Box Art II: The Wrath of ..... oops sorry :-D is a very close second.

A-Z for me, although I thought the box art display was great I'm much more comfortable building a kit rather than an actual display/ dio.

A-Z for me. I do need a primer on successfully packaging a finished model and getting on site.

Shane, if you build the model, I'll build the dio. :)

Folks,

Given the reported impact the box art display had, I think there's mileage in another one and I have voted for that. However, it's a bit of a cheek because I would need someone to help with the dio if I do the build.

Martin

I was a little torn between A-Z idea and box art II, but the latter idea was just too tempting! May be worth trying a more even split of manufacturers and subjects though

1.Best of British
2.Box Art II

The other are good themes but nothing particularly Classic or British about them
