 progress of a sort, cockpit is complete and crew fitted,

The rather tedious task of fitting the fuselage glazing has started, this picture shows an hours worth of sanding, cutting and dry fitting.I tried micro crystal kleer but the aperture was too big i may try it with the other openings in the interest of speed,as at this rate with my modelling time, i will still be doing this next year

I must admit that sitting down with this kit is most enjoyable, from opening the box to reading the old style instructions, to even packing the parts away and putting the box lid back on.Its a real trip down memory lane

I have one of these part done but wheels up. Not looking forward to that glazing either, or the top fuse seam.

Good stuff, B... great to see it under way! Top tip for both you and Shane - put some kind of wing spar (brass tube, balsa...) across the middle, joining the two wings. That should stop the leverage of the wings splitting the top seam! Believe me... I've been there...

bestest,
M.

Cheers Shane, i have decided to use micro crystal kleer for the rest of the windows, will use sharpned bits of round sprue to blank the openings for painting.Matt cheers for that tip.The front undercarriage has now been fitted and is the first moving feature completed,i sat there for ten minutes moving the thing up and down making hydraulic noises how sad is that :ha:

Good to see further progress. Looks like those 3 guys are telling to dog to get down off the blue tack.

Great to see some good progress being made - I already know this will be one of the ones that gets the fingers pointing at Telford in November.
Cheers

I felt exactly the same way last year Bromo, but it really is a great feeling when something you've built draws positive comments

Can't wait to see this in the flesh.
