NOW THAT'S WHAT I'M TALKIN' ABOUT!!

Brilliant work Tom - totally captures the box art, the motion, the excitement, The Vibe...

I reckon you may even get away with just gluing the falling bomb onto the front of the stand as well?!

Cracking!

Cheers
Al.

You'll find that you can be quite heavy handed dry brushing white on the waves, it never is as much as you think it is while doing it.

Cheers guys  had another session on the diorama this morning.

Smoke on:

And some beginnings of bomb bursts, I've had another drybrush over the ships wake as well, maybe one more coat to go:

I have a nice set of prop blurs courtesy of Mr Perrin so I'll be getting them attached this afternoon and then go about rigging up a falling bomb, two options here; either attach to the stand with thin wire or hang from the aircraft with ez-line...choices choices

From experience it will be easier to get the bomb to hang at the right angle and direction using two threads.

Following James sage advice I can now present you guys with...duh,duh, DUH...a hanging bomb :ha: :

Image

I've also painted the area around the stand as you guys can see and got on with attaching some prop-blurs:

I also tried to blend the cotton wool splashes into the base by flecking with the basecoat blue:

Just a host of little details to go now but I'm happy that this will be finished in time

:wanw Oh my god, I didn't think it could get much better...

...the explosion is brilliant, the blue flecking a stroke of genius. The hanging bomb - now I know what to do with the same on my diving Stuka.

Genuinely Tom, words fail me mate

Cheers

Great stuff, Tom! I think we'll have a great selection of different bangs and splooshes for other folks to copy when we're all done!

That's lovely Tom! You've nailed another sea based scene again. Hope to see this properly at Telford!
