CBK volunteers for SMW 2012

Firstly, can CBK members who are attending the SMW show please let me know. We need people to look after the table throughout the show. Though there is core of regulars more help is always needed, especially this year as Greg and Tom both have their own SIG displays to look after.
For any newbies, table duty means talking to the public about the display, CBK SIG and modelling in general. Keeping an eye on the display so that nothing gets damaged or nicked. The CBK SIG prides itself on engaging with the punters - we don't sit around scowling and ignoring the public. It's great fun and you get to meet some interesting people and occasionally the odd gifted CBK! If you can only help out for an hour that would be great as it means someone can go and stretch their legs and get a bite to eat. Even if you haven't built any models for this year's display this is a chance to get involved and to bask in the glory of what is sure to be another very popular display.
Secondly, every year we also provide voluntary staff to help IPMS with the running of the show. This is for just a 1 hour shift. This year we've been asked to provided 2 volunteers on Sat and Sun to help run the Kitswap. This is your opportunity to give a little back to the IPMS(UK) who organise the world's largest model show on a purely voluntary basis. Apart from a warm glow you get a free T-shirt too!
