Could this be the eleventh hour update.

Image

Decaling is done now with everything setting up under a coat of Solv-a-set. The rudder markings are settling in nicely in the louvers. I am a happy camper.

Image

The work now is centered on attaching the external stores. Once that is done I may gloss it one more time before the matt coat.

If I don't get to ham fisted I will have just one more report.

P.S. Thanks for the poem, Jim.

That is a stunning Blitz Jeff.

Great colour scheme too, proper Marine colours.

I am off to bed now as I need to be fresh for the Blitzbau House & daughters party tomorrow so good luck putting this one to bed.

I am calling with one finished at 18:55 hrs.

I did not do another gloss coat and went straight to the matt. The external stores are pretty weak considering I stamped out tiny pads to attach them to the racks and the wing. They can break off very easily.

Also the rudder markings have a "rooster tails" that will need closer trimming in the morning.

Again, the Matchbox A4M is a real gem(no pun intended). One that I enjoyed even more the second time around.

Glamour pics in the AM folks as the Cutty Sark just docked in my kitchen and I desire to meet with the crew.

Lovely Jeff, those markings are really eye catching. I've always wondered what the Matchbox A4 was like.

Obviously one arm tied, has no affect, next blitz, you'll have to be straight jacketed.. :ha:

Cheers
