Gregs Geodetic Gamble. --FINISHED-

Post by Gregers »

Well. I admit I am a serial non finisher of group builds lately so will I or won't I finish this beastie?. Time will tell but I will give it my best shot.

All the best.

It is indeed a Matchbox example. Unfortunately I'm having to source decals for it as the kit ones are missing. Not much of a problem though as I am sure I'll have suitable ones some place. I'm not sure when I will start it but it will be very soon hopefully.

All the best.

Right ho folks.
I haven't forgotten this build but I've been very busy. so.....
The kit is out. I've had to get a fresh one from the loft as the one I had had no decals. I've canned the conversion idea due to lack of info and the suitable engine and decals, and time.
The build will be oob, not decided which I will build as yet but the long range development unit aircraft is favorite at the mo.

About to take the pics and start. My better half Sarah will be taking the build pics and posting commentary.

Tally ho.

All the best.

It's traditional to post graphic pictures of any injuries sustained during blitzbau. The hair is distinguished

Most of us have bought and paid for every grey hair we own. :ha:

Greg here. Those greys are hard earned. I picked up my swan morton scalpel by the wrong end. Lucky I noticed just before I took a good grip of it so no blood this time folks. Next pic.

I once clipped the end of my Swann Morton handle as it lay half-on, half-off my bench and sent it flying upwards end over end. Once it had reached the zenith of its climb, it came downwards at some considerable speed with the tip pointing towards me. It would have stabbed me in the foot, but fortunately my leg got in the way and it buried itself there instead. Lucky or what.

Greg here.
Having a very quick break after cleaning the paint off the tablecloth before my better half strangles me. I got it off so I'm safe. Pics to follow. (NOT of me being strangled, sorry folks).

All the best.
