Re: Titan's PMmodel 1/72 Horten Ho-229 A-1 (HoIX)***STARTED*
Mark is on his third in this Blitz,
He must have nads the size of Moritz,
Using all of his modelling skill,
On the PM Models people think of ill,
Where's a cup of char, or bacon sarny?
I do hope I'm not being smarmy,
But is he man? or Blitzbot?
Maybe fueled by a stiff tot?
Most of us are happy to say,
At least no manbewbs are on display,
Marks' fine Luftwaffe painting,
Is well worth for waiting,
All that's left is for me to say,
He'll have this easily done in a day.
Go Mark go!!

Excellent poem Jim, thank you....
Bet you all thought where has he gone, why is he not posting well if you did think that than don't worry as I am back but I thought I would add a bit of suspense and spin it out a bit....
Here we go with the last update for tonight..
Rlm76 added to the underside, the gear doors are held in by Blutak as the bays are to shallow for kitchen towel.
The top surface has been sprayed with RLM82.
I contemplated reverse camo but I thought No! grab the Bull by the horns and go freestyle so that's what I did, didn't even follow the paint guide me
So I did the mottles in RLM81
Then I highly thinned some RLM82 right down and oversprayed the mottles to tone them down a bit, It's a bad habbit I know but that's the type of bloke I am.
So I have now given the model a coat of Klear, the wheels have been painted and tomorrow I will get it's legs on then apply all those decals.
Till tomorrow
Regards
Mark

The Klear will be cured enough by tomorrow Bruce to enable me to mask the blast areas without the paint lifting, I also might mask the exhaust inlets as well and paint them in a cream colour but we will see how it goes.

Thank you and good morning gentlemen, I was up early and started the day with a bowl of porridge and a mug of decaf coffee.
I sat around chatting with the wife as she was getting ready for work and had another cup of coffee before starting to mask the front of the engine nacelles and the rear blast guards at the back of them, I hope that I have left it long enough so that the paint does not lift off with the tape.
Regards

Morning, I've just crawled out of the marital bed and best think about doing some work at some point. On to more interesting matters, this Horten looks great and I really love the camo finish. Hopefully I'll be able to watch during the rest of the build as other demands have meant me missing one or two of these blitzes. Which is a bit bum really.

Morning Mark. That's a sweet looking model so far.
I'd get killed if I ever said 'the wife' again. We were out once and I made the mistake of referring to her like that. She asked 'The wife? Is that a bit like 'the car' or 'the stairs' or 'the washing machine'?" She even managed to say it in italics!

Never say "the wife" in the real world, especially when in earshot of the same. Only ever type it. On forums that she never goes on. Like this one. (I'm really brave when I know she won't be reading).

Lesley, who is my wife has never made a comment at any time if I have described her as `My wife` but does remonstrate if I have addressed her as SHE...
Ok then thinking back to my earlier comment.....
Well I want to take that back..Titan wrote:The Klear will be cured enough by tomorrow Bruce to enable me to mask the blast areas without the paint lifting.
Lets get in close shall we and see why it is we enjoy this hobby...
I take a cup of Deja vu with my mid morning snack please sir...
Off to repair the damage now...oh the pressure.
Later
Mark
