And the soft glow from the cockpit aids our gunners ....Titan wrote:That's a shame but it's something I have learned about Dragon's decals.
I've painted the dials extra large so they can see them better at night( well it is a nightfighter after all), .......

Re: Titan's PMmodel Ho-229 V7 Nightfighter.**Started 3.00pm*
Thanks Shaun ond OT.
Everything is going ok at the moment and all need to do is give it a coat of Klear so that I can leave it overnight ready for the decals tommorow.
Here are some photos of the progress so far.
Tamiya Nato black sprayed on the bottom.
Xtracrylix RLM76 sprayed on top.
Then it was out with th dryer befor the next phase which was to hand paint the RLM75 squiggles on.
Then an overspray of RLM76 for blending purposes.
That is all I can do for now as the Klear will have to cure before I add the decals.
Thanks for looking in

Nice scheme. I really like your blending technique. Super work.

That is an excellent bit of squiggling. It's certainly better blended than the whisky that I'm having a dram of

I'm sitting back with Jack Daniels and some nice baps right now, and soon will be having sandwiches, having finished in the last few minutes. Luftwaffe camo is one of my pet hates, it looks so good when it's done but boy is it ever a pain to do. Doing it four times over in a blitz is worthy of an as yet uninvented adjective. My hat is off to you Mark.
Would ya like to learn to fly? Would ya? Would you like to see me try?

Good luck with the build mark, not that you will need it.
What colour are you going for this time, all black?

Cheers lads.
I very rarely drink JD these days I seem to have lost the taste for it, but will on occasion partake in a glass of Capt Morgan's finest.
I have added the gear and doors this morning although I had to cut some of the starboard leg as it was about 3mm longer than the port side which I didn't notice until I tried resting in on its legs.
Just waiting for the glue to set before I can see if this little operation was succesful or not.
Next up the decals.
Regards

Re: Titan's PMmodel Ho-229 V7 Nightfighter.**Started 3.00pm*
Decals on and a couple extra added from the spares box.
I had to use microsol around the sharks mouth as the decal was desighned to fit a Bf109, still the micro-sol has done it's job and I will give it a helping hand to dry with a hairdryer then it will be onto some weathering.
I am going to make a stretched sprue pitot tube and apart from a flat coat that will conclude this build.

Nice stuff. It always amazes me on how large that nose wheel was/supposed to be.

Thanks very much Shane and Jeff. and Mr Monkey.
It amazes me also Jeff, it looks like a giant doughnut on the front LOL.
The shark's mouth came from the newly tooled Airfix Bf109 sheet, the Finnish option, I had to cut it through the middle but went on almost perfectly, lucky with that one me thinks.
Well you'll be happy to know that I have finished it, it's been a struggle but I got there in the end.
Again thank you to everybody that's been looking in.
Sorry forgot the watch but finished it about 11.15am tthis morning.
Here tis.
And a group shot...
I've added a pitot tube on the single seat as well while I did the nightfighter's, multi tasking or what.
Regards
