Simon's Provost Mk 1 ***Finished ***
Going to start this one today and run through til same time tomorrow in line with the rules. Just discovered that we have a40th birthday bash to attend this afternoon, so that will be an added challenge.
Re: Simon's Provost Mk 1
Good luck on this one. I built it some time ago and really liked it. Should be a great blitzer. I'll check in from time to time as I do mine.
Besting 60 years of mediocre building of average kits in the stand off scale
Re: Simon's Provost Mk 1
Ohhh.. I have always wanted to see one of those built.

I guess most members are currently in bed , but never mind, not as rainy as forecast outside, so may have to do something useless like mow the grass.
Never mind :
Kick off :
The watch was a gift from a friend who visits China regularly. Chairman Mao's hand waves in time with the second hand....
Starting at lunchtime has it's advantages. Home made tomato soup courtesy of Mrs Stoat. Cheese and onion sanger ( sarnie for you Poms ), yes we can get Branston pickle in OZ.
Followed by a mug of tea.

After an hour :
Interior painted flat black. Seats pained with Humbrol Leather. Some tamiya tape has been painted Lt blue which I will but into strips for the belts. Wing halves joined. Engine painted with Humbrol polished steel and drybrushed with Tamiya silver. Cowling halves joined. Canopy is about one third masked.

Going great guns Simon, a nice choice for a Blitz.
Home made soup yummm... I got hooked on Branston pickle when I was in the UK, and was overjoyed to find it on the shelves here in NZ, until I tasted it, not like the English Branston at all. The same with Guinness too, it sure doesn't taste like it does in Dublin. So many of these big names, that are made locally instead of shipped from one source.
Go Simon go!

OK - this last shot was just before I went out , about 4pm according to Chairman Mao, not like your clock Brews, which could be referred to as Chairman Miow.

Watching this with interest as it's one of my favourite kits.
