Titan's PMModel 1/72 DFS-194 *** Finished ***
I am almost embarrassed more so than with my other builds to enter this one for a blitz subject on the account that there is only 12 parts to it, but as I have not seen one built here embarrassed or not I'm entering it.
I don't think there needs to be that much done to it, it's not got any decals to worry about either but I will be spraying Humbrol74 enamel as the airframe colour so the drying time is going to be a lot longer.
I am going to start it right now.
Regards
Mark

I think you would be embarrassed should you not be able to complete this model in the given time period seeing as it only has 12 parts.

I've built one of these, there should be no nasty surprises for you (though masking the canopy is a pain in the...).
Looking forward to seeing this one.

Thanks guys.
You've got me thinking about that canopy now Greg and I am going hybrid with it meaning it will partly be masked and partly decal stripped.
Ok 1/2 hr in and the interior is ready to be closed up, I've added some plastic card to the sides just in case the tabs from the wing root show.
It's going to be tight....

Another one? this must be heading for a record. At my build speed I'd be confident of finishing this one in a week As an additional challenge, seeing as there's only 12 parts, I think perhaps working flaps and/or an operating canopy wouldn't be too much to ask
Doing - Tamiya 1/35th Universal Carrier.

You should have said earlier Shaun I might have done both of those
Another half hour in and it's all closed up and wings added, I had to shave off a bit of the ip on both sides because of the added plasticard on the sides of the cockpit, and that held me back.
I have added liquid putty around the wing roots and some of the sink marks on the fuselage.
Regards

Great build Titan, I built this some time ago as part of a set of ME 163 family builds and it goes together a treat as you now know. today we are I think spoilt by kits withtoo many parts and it is easy to forget that a good, accurate model can be made from a simple kit. PM kits are very simple and some of them aren't the most accurate on the market but others in the range such as the Sea Furies and this one are really quite good and I think they are great.

You guy's are too kind, but thanks anyway.
The putty has been sanded, coaming painted black and the canopy attached, I am just going to go over the whole model with some 3600 microcloth and then spray Rlm2 over the base of the canopy.

Mark
PS Shredded wheat indeed, Porridge if you don't mind.
I may do one more if you can guess, clue is in the theme I picked for the blitz but be careful you pick the right one....Brews wrote:Is there anything left in the PM range to blitz?
I built The T-20 as the all red German drone a couple of years ago and I realy enjoyed it, these kits are what they are fun builds but I know a lot of people detest them I on the other hand am having a blast with them.lancfan wrote: the Sea Furies and this one are really quite good

It must be that porridge with the big hard Scotsman on the front, chucking a 200 lb shot put then
This is looking really good. By the time I've eaten and watched the 6.00pm news this evening, I bet it's finished

Not quite Shaun but not that far off.
I made my own Ivory colour as I don't have RLM5 and I can't be bothered waiting for enamels to dry so in the end I used RLM4, Rlm 21 and panzer interior cream, well I got to make an effort haven't I?
I am taking a break now and I going to pour myself a glass of mild and sit down and watch the footy, I hope it's better than last nights game.
Regards
