Yes sir, that is really looking sharp.

Your all a bunch of comedians.....   but thanks all for looking in.

Well this build can not be spun out any more I just couldn't do it to you and in build/paint time it only took 5 hours and most of that was waiting for paint/klear to dry, since last night I have only touched up around the canopy a tad and added a brown oil panel line wash and daylight of course for the glamour shots.

I am very pleased with the colour although trying to match it again for the touch ups was a right pain.
Obviously an easy kit to build but an intersting subject as it was the only one built in the real world.

Great finish Mark, looks very good. I suppose you're already opening the box on the next one now :-D

The box has been opened Shaun but believe it or not I am going to be a bit busy this weekend and working all next week to do a blitz, but there is a possibility that there might be some sticking together of plastic parts in a 24hr frenzy at my gaff next weekend....who knows...
This though will be the last as it is the only PMmodel kit I have left and I really need to get started on the Katyusha that's sitting on my workbench, that said if I did have more PMmodel kits I would have probably done more... :-D :-D :-D

Well done Mark, enjoy your weekend break.

I don't know about you, but I don't think PM models deserve all the stick they get. Some of their kits are little gems, on the other hand some are truly horrid and should be avoided, but at under £3 what can you expect?

I think we should make a list of PM kits to build and those to avoid, I would start with all the ones you have just blitzed as build and top of my avoid list is the F16, sptitfire, F86 Sabre & the F4 phantom as its an odd scale.

Stunning build there. Very impressive.
I'd better watch my mouth because I work for the importers of PM kits but there are a few not quite Tamia quality ;-) kits in the range but as stated these are a cheap range and there are some pretty nice ones and some diamonds in the rough. I've built all the luft 46 ones and a few of the others so I will help with the list if need be. The 154 is reasonable but it is a filler monster. the wing / fuselage joint and engine necells (especially the rear of them) being the worst parts. If anyone remembers them from Telford my builds were on the Tiger Hobbies stand.

All the best.

Yep I quite agree with you Splash, these five builds and the T-20 Fury I would include in that list and the Fokker D XXI that you built as well.
As you pointed out in your build of the Fokker D XXI, the decals have to be cut very close to get rid of all the film and so lessening the chance of silvering.
The canopies need a bit of work more than I could do in a blitz but overall I don't think that the majority of this line are half as bad as some would have you believe. I will stress that these are not very detailed kits and that is why most criticism is aimed at them, but for fun builds well these are just ideal.

Kits to build then would be....

DFS-194 #215
Horten V7 Nightfighter #220
Horten H0-229 A1 #210
Ta-183 Huckebein #213
Lippisch P.13a #224
Hawker Sea Fury T.20 #212
Fokker DXXI #201

Feel free to add to the list.

Regards
Mark

PS Just seen your post Greg and thanks and if you have anymore that you think are worth building then pleaseadd to the list.
Regards
Mark

Nice one, Mark!

So when's this cold bean bath then? But, on second thoughts, we don't need pics....

I think the Sea Fury kits are pretty decent little blank canvases.
