Splash's triple AFV's ***finished***

Post by splash »

I'm snowed under with builds at the moment and I know I shouldn't, but what the heck this is fun. I picked up three Airfix AFV's going cheap and as they are so small, I thought I would blitz them all at the same time.

I will probably start next week on Wednesday

Is it something in the water in the west country? And are you going to build them in the car to add to the drama?

Try building them after six pints of scrumpy, that'll add to the drama :ha:

Built the Saladin not to long ago. It was great fun.

Good luck on #3,4 and 5.

That's the wife's car, I'm not building them in my car I might get paint on the leather seats.

That's a thought building a kit whilst driving a car with a pint of scrumpy balancing on the dash.

I'm not sure but I think there is something in the highway code about doing things like that.

Question what links all three vehicles?

Apart from the fact they are all Airfix kits in the same scale.

I would need the engine running to stop the battery going flat when I run the compreser to use the airbrush otherwise I would have to use the hairy stick things.

Oooooo you are good, thats right.

the Australians needed to up the fire power of their M113's in Vietnam and as the had just stopped using the Saladin they took the turrets of them and fitted them to their M113 to produce the Fire Support Version, I gather they converted about 13.

The down side was the conversion took away the M113 amphibious capability.

I'm pleased to report that there is nothing in the Highway Code about getting paint on your seats. You're good to go.

I've driven a Saracen.
