Great start Splash. The CD idea for bases is well worth pinching from you for small AFV's and the like ;-)

Nice detailing on the M113. I only had the chance to ride in the M113 a couple of times. I remember the floor boards were covered with sandbags. And I do know why. They were pretty "thin skinned."

Base coat of paint now applied.

Time for a well earned cup of coffee

I think I might try to make a road base using a cd and some emery paper whilst I have a break.

Back in a short while.

I sprayed the cd and emery paper with glue and stuck them together, then using my wife's best scissors cut it out.

First impressions are its a bit bland, so I masked it up and sprayed two white lines and as I could not find my bag of green fluffy grass stuff , i gave the verge a splodge of brown and green.

What do you think?

Due to the cold, the paint on the M113 has not yet set so I'm having a break.

The build is taking longer than I thought so I might have to split this over two days.

Veg and chicken ready for a stir fry when the wife gets back.

Rule number one for a blitz, don't buy a vehicle with six wheels remember you have to paint the tyres.

Rule two, don't be a prat like me and buy two vehicles with six wheels you have to paint all twelve wheels.

Wheely bad move that Splash (I'll get my coat). The road section CD base looks pretty convincing from here.

Motoring along nicely Splash, I reckon you will have to give us all a proper TP on the CD base creations.

Just caught up with this build and it's like being at work again!

You actually made your own clock!
You combined Jeremy Kyle, with Marillion and Alvis.
You made 3 brilliantly conceived stands...
...And you made significant progress on 3 AFV's.

I assume that you're doing all of this whilst suspended from a bungee, spinning in a Force 10?

Why can't life be like this all of the time?

Now without the aid of a net, I will try to airbrush highlights using buff coloured paint, thinned down and applied with low pressure.

Images later if it works.

If the cd system works I will knock up a tutorial.

Talk to you all later, that's if I'm not to tyred. ( did you see what I did then tyred ) :ha: :ha: :ha:
