Simon's Jet Provost T Mk3 **out of time**

Post by theconfidencestoat »

Well, I was moving some of the stash a couple of weeks ago in reponse to the OC Home Command's complaints, and I found this Bad Boy in a box of Series One Airifx kits I've got.....
Image

It's Saturday morning and beautiful warm sunny day here on the Coast, so I doubt I 'll get started today, my plan is to start tnight and finish tomorrow. Pretty basic kit so shouldn't take too long. I like how there are raised lines to mark where you paint the yellow trainer bands !

Good luck with it, the old Airfix JP builds up nicely.

I'd imagine the kit is older than me, and I'm 47 on Tuesday!

Great kit I built it when it first came out. For some reason I can't remember what it built like, I think that might be some thing to do with my age.

This should be good - a nice little kit, quite collectable,

what, to upset the collectors ? (I've already opened it ) I suppose I could staple it up again, then open it and rip the instructions in the process !

A lovely golden oldie that I remember building back in the 70's. Looking forward to seeing this one.

I'm looking forward to watching this build. I'm a JP fan and have plenty of spanner time working on the real thing. If you need any detail pics give me a shout.

All the best.

Guys - events have transpired to prevent this build this week-end, unexpected visitors arriving etc, so I'm going to cancel the build for now - gotta work tomorrow, Tues, Wed, so no chance. I'll hold her over for the next blitz.

Oh what the hell, I've made a start now, pictures shortly !

OK - a bit late posting, started this morning with Chairman Mao keeping time again......

As time is very limited, a jet of matt black into the cockpit area, same on the seats, a bit of khaki and some blue tape - belts will have to do.......

One of the crew appears to have lost his feet, possibly in some hideous ejection accident - maybe that's why he got an intructor posting.
