Ok, time to slip into first gear and proceed ahead at a steady pace.

Given that I started a day early, I've been sat in a Little Chef, tucking into snorkers and waiting for everyone else.
Fortunately, I arrived just before a coachload of French schoolkids pulled in.

Bruce

Walking up to collect the youngest from Kindergarten today, the car sales had some bonnets up, showing off some V8s, saw this one and instantly thought of Dirk...
but not in a car..

a Ford Falcon ute, I can't start to think how many rear tires you'd go through...
Also another American engine on display, a Chevrolet 6.0 litre LS2

A Holden HSV Clubsport.
So I'm happy, I had my dose of V8's for the day.
Sorry about the pics, from my cellphone and the lens is a bit cloudy.
Cheers

Re: Sign-up and Chat
A week in and we've already had a couple of completions. Even the usual suspect out did himself and finished a day earlier than planned... oh yeah wait a minute!
Looks like everyone is out of the starting blocks and we've even had a few late comers who've had to start from the pit lane.
So entering week two it's time to take the next right and then shift up a gear.

Re: Sign-up and Chat
OK just two weeks left, yes that is half a normal group build but it looks like many people are going to need it. So please don't don't get distracted by shiny new group builds there are lot of interesting and varied car kits that have been started and would be great to see finished.

Re: Sign-up and Chat
A whole weeks worth of modelling left chaps. We've had a couple more finishers this last week and it looks like a couple more are imminent. I hoped to have my Lola done last week but things have gone awry and I need to make repairs before I'm happy to put it on my shelf. I've got to keep and eye on the Lotus too so that doesn't slip. Those are you far from finishing I would still hope to see some progress this week as they are all interesting builds and any further input is most welcome.

Re: Sign-up and Chat
OK last day or so fellas, I hope those near completion will find time this weekend for the final push. Unfortunately I'm away tomorrow helping someone move house so you'll have to dangle your own carrots or wield your own stick. It's been a long six week build so that's plenty of time and I don't think there is need for an extension.
BTW I just finished my builds last night and am just waiting for a little sun to take some photos.

Re: Sign-up and Chat
Thank very much James, for steering us in the right direction, though the wheels fell off some times, and the fog of the build obscured the finish line, but you kept us firing on all cyclinders, and in Top Gear.
