Scratchbuilt TARDIS * Complete*
Making this for my daughters birthday. She's quite the fan of Dr Who, so I figured a little TARDIS trinket box would be nice. Its all made with plasticard sheet and assorted shape angle, etc. The paint is Vallejo Medium Blue, which is a pretty good match. Not quite accurate or to scale, but its not meant to be. Just a handmade gift from the heart.
Regards, Tony

Re: Scratchbuilt TARDIS
Little more work done to the TARDIS trinket box. Almost done. Paint is complete, less a few touch ups. Still need to finish the lantern at the top. I found a spare from a starship Enterprise build that will fit perfectly to look like the top of the lantern.

Brilliant work.
Did you know Airfix made a Tardis model?
I can scan the stickers that come with the kit if you need them.

I did see they made one, but didn't see them available. I've scaled and printed the door sign already, but thanks for the offer.splash wrote:Brilliant work.

Re: Scratchbuilt TARDIS
what a superb idea and very nice workmanship - make a mold of it and turn it into a resin low budget garage kit now we no longer have Comet fulfilling that market space
I hope your daughter likes it - I certainly do

Re: Scratchbuilt TARDIS * Complete*
Finished up the TARDIS tonight. I'm pretty happy with it, seeing as it's the first time I've scratch built an entire subject. As I've said, while not truly accurate or to scale, I think it's not too bad. Enjoy.
