Bandai Snowspeeder

From Apollo and Soyuz, to Gerry Anderson, Irwin Allen, Star Wars and Trek to Babylon 5, Battlestar Galactica and those strange, doe-eyed Japanese school girls...to any model kits you can think of, that only exists in imagination.

Bandai Snowspeeder

Post by Gadfly »

Hi,
Here is my build of the Bandai 1/48 Snowspeeder from The Empire Strikes Back.

Its painted in Tamiya and Vallejo Acrylics with oil washes a bit of hairspray and a lot of scratch through technique.

I've not built a Star Wars model before nor a Sci-Fi kit but the Bandai kits are very very good and reward a klutz like myself.

Thanks for looking.

Wow - that looks good that (is there no glazing?) and the weathering looks spot on - nice work GF.

Thanks for the kind words.

There is no glazing in my version the original filming models were also glazing free. You get at least 3 options canopy wise with the Bandai kit

I didn't know that - I shall fire TheESB later and take a look (the best starwars film in my opinion)

Cheers GF!
