This is sufficiently kitbashed that I am putting it here rather than in Aviation Modelling.
The build was part of the Getting Things Done GB - ironically, of course, it didn't get done
Build thread: http://uamf.org.uk/viewtopic.php?f=255&t=7997;
The kit was excellent and was very accomodating of all the modifications I made.
If you're wondering why it looks so dirty, it's because in the story it has just taken off through a volcanic ash cloud. I scattered on lots of ground up HB pencil.
Rigging is nylon monofilament, run through tiny wire turnbuckle loops I made and mounted into the wing. The line is anchored to the bottom wing, run through the loop, tensioned and glued into the loop.

Excellent! Or should I say 'Spiffingly good job old chap!'
Best wishes
Jim

Great job, don't worry I'm sure my Seamew will take even longer to complete!

Okay, after James' in-box review and this excellent build I'm definitely going to invest in the Karaya Seamew. Great work, VV.
Is this your sanderling?.

I say! Thanks, chaps! Jolly glad to get the beastly kite finished and all that!
Look forward to seeing it built when you do.
I heartily endorse this course of actionArcwelder wrote:Okay, after James' in-box review and this excellent build I'm definitely going to invest in the Karaya Seamew. Great work, VV.
