Completed Bandai X-wing

From Apollo and Soyuz, to Gerry Anderson, Irwin Allen, Star Wars and Trek to Babylon 5, Battlestar Galactica and those strange, doe-eyed Japanese school girls...to any model kits you can think of, that only exists in imagination.

Completed Bandai X-wing

Post by mylo66 »

Here is my go at the Bandai 1:72 X-Wing kit. I won`t go on to much as comments i have made for my previous
Bandai Star Wars models on here all apply to this model. One thing i would recommend would be to search &
download for an english version of the instructions. Its very easy (especially with the S-foils) to get muddled.
rob_van_riel (hi Rob) posted a very nice rendition on here and was concerned he may have gone to far with his weathering
which just goes to show how personnel views are as mine is caked in the stuff compared to his.
Oh one thing, ignore the large gap under the canopy, forget to push it down before i took these pics.

That looks superb and really works well with the black background too!
The weathering certainly doesn't look excessive. I really need to get mine out of the stash and get it built!
Best wishes

That is well done and well photographed !
As much as I love the movies, I have avoided the models, but your builds ... well, I feel a strange disturbance in the force :)

It's my model and I'll do what I want with it.

Excellent work Mylo. Personally, I'm not a huge fan of Star Wars but that is a great piece of modelling.
Doing - Tamiya 1/35th Universal Carrier.

Work is the curse of the modelling classes!

Nice in 1/72nd. It would go nicely in a display with aircraft.
So many models, so little time.

Which gets me thinking, how about a Boulton & paul defiant painted in rebel markings & a Astromech in the back replacing the gun turret?

Looking great! I actually am a massive fan of Star Wars and seeing your builds is getting me itching to build one...
