Taiwanese Tigershark

From Apollo and Soyuz, to Gerry Anderson, Irwin Allen, Star Wars and Trek to Babylon 5, Battlestar Galactica and those strange, doe-eyed Japanese school girls...to any model kits you can think of, that only exists in imagination.

Taiwanese Tigershark

Post by Old_Tonto »

This is the 1/72 Hasegawa F-20 kit that I finished for the current what-if GB. Hope you like it.

This was a lovely kit to build, the only fit issues were around the air intakes but some careful sanding and dry fitting fettled it.
The only additions I made were the Sparrow missiles and launch rails.

You beat me to it (by several years, if not decades.. ) I have one sitting in the stash earmarked for just such a project. I might give it somewhat more modern weapons though; I'm guessing that if the F-20 had made it, pretty much everything that can currently be stuck under an F-16 would have been made compatible.

Great model.

I assume it would have become a bit heavier and more capable. I did consider putting AMRAAM on the wing tip rails and some Laser guided bombs under the wings. Or maybe a harpoon missile on the centre line?

Lots of potential with the Tigershark. I intend to build more if I can find them.
