F4U-X(wing)

From Apollo and Soyuz, to Gerry Anderson, Irwin Allen, Star Wars and Trek to Babylon 5, Battlestar Galactica and those strange, doe-eyed Japanese school girls...to any model kits you can think of, that only exists in imagination.

F4U-X(wing)

For all the build details and more pictures, see the group build section.
Conceived as a result of a day dream and totally ignoring the laws of physics, aerodynamics and basic practicality, it was built to the image in my imagination.

Its no worser than some of those weirdo machines the Germans had on the drawing boards in 1945.
Al speling misteaks aer all mi own werk..
Its not just how good your painting is, its how good the touch-ups are too.

I really liked this build, very interesting! But had to think a little about which end was forward.... One question, how does the landing gear work? Great work!

This looks amazing. Make it a contraprop though and you really got something. Still pretty cool overall.

The intention was to build it within the spirit of both craft, so a contraprop though looking good, was out. Though a corncob would have been cool.

You are guilty of a severely entertaining WHIFF :wanw :wanw
Your mind is "unusual", well done there should be more of it 8-) 8-)
Wish I'd thought of it
Been modelling for years, still learning . . . .
Model kits are meant to be assembled . . . . . . . . . . eventually.

Please feel free to reinterpret the idea. It's always interesting to see other peoples interpretation.
