Great work , a lot of details. Could you tell me more about it, does it exsist or it is fictional ( what if) . Searched the net for Esquimalt, but found nothing on the fort.

No, it only exists as a scale model. In fact, the navy base at Esquimalt was covered for many years by Fort Rodd Hill, which is now a National Historic Park. Its meagre batteries were not popular with the locals as the concussion from the smaller calibre weapons than my 'what-if' were known to break windows. My Fort Cerberus is cobbled together from scrap Styrofoam, drywall compound, spare parts, Evergreen plastic dowelling and my own imagination.

Ok, thanks for the info.
I can mention that during ww2 the Germans built a fort 8 km from a big city here in Norway, it was to have 4 , 38 cm guns , when test fireing it people where told to open all windows to avoid shattering, range 800 kg shell - 42 km ( 500kg - 55 km). I have been to the battery, when it comes to guns, size is everything......I think it maybe same size guns as the Bismarck had.
But back to your fort, looking at it again, I started thinking of the US plans for making an aircraft carrier of ice, ice burg battleship. Also looking at that big door at the rear, does it also have a submarine harbor inside? For the second time, great work.

This was based more on Fort Drum in Manila Bay than anything else. And no, no submarine pen or anything like that. What you see is what you get here.
