Cheers! These kits really are suited to weathering as the details are so sharp. Assembly is simple, even with the instructions being only in Japanese!JamesValentine wrote:wow going from the WIP pics to the finished article is such a huge leap. it looks incredible.

If you can walk away from a landing, it's a good landing. If you use the airplane the next day, it's an outstanding landing

Fantastic...Just stumbled upon this and as coincidence would have it my daughter turned up today for her christmas visit and I was presented with the exact same model...have heard of these bandai kits but never tried one...doubt it'll turn out looking anywhere as good as I avoid weathering...but maybe now is the time

Excellent looking x-wing, the palm trees add a certain something

Iggie I have a question for you with this being push fit as you mentioned do the pieces 'lock' when put together or can they be separated again. I know I could just try but if they lock before Ive painted stuff I'll be knackered...
thanks...Kev

They can (mostly) be taken apart again, usually a thin but wide blade can be worked into a joint but be careful of any twisting motion as it will likely damage one face or the other. Once you've opened up a crack, use finger nails or a thin piece of plastic card to work it wider.dayzofspeed wrote:Iggie I have a question for you with this being push fit as you mentioned do the pieces 'lock' when put together or can they be separated again. There are a couple of parts that are best not taken apart again, usually those that the instructions have a "clic" note against as you are assembling them

Re: Bandai 1/72 X-Wing Fighter **Finished **
Thanks for the info...I'm intending using this to try getting into airbrushing, got the gear but never had the nerve to try it. But this one looks like it's crying out to be airbrushed and as it doesn't fit the style of my 'on display' kits I'm thinking why not...hope my daughter never reads me dissing this kitiggie wrote:They can (mostly) be taken apart again, usually a thin but wide blade can be worked into a joint but be careful of any twisting motion as it will likely damage one face or the other.
