Die Fledermaus, Horten Ho229 V7 by gnomemeansgnome
Hi everyone. I wasn't sure where to put this duo, but I figure since the V7 never actually got built then this particular project should go here. The Horten, which I have dubbed Die Fledermaus, is the PM kit. Not a lot of parts or detail but it gives a little wiggle room to turn out a decent facsimile from the usual three feet away. The pilots and ground crew are from the cautiously titled 'German Air Force Personnel 1935-1945' by Revell of Germany. Kinda pricey but the figures are not too shabby. Opel Blitz fuel truck is from Academy's German Ground Vehicles set, and is a lovely kit all on its own. Enjoy my pic heavy expose!

Excellent builds, all of them!
Best wishes

Cheers, Iggie, thanks. I celebrated taking the rest of the pics by accidently chugging down a bunch of water from my paint jar after mistaking it for my drinking glass. Thank goodness I spat it out, and that it was not turpentine!!!

All great builds. It's a pity that yhe PM range is no longr available. We did great rade with them at work and most of thdm were great little kits for the money. I built all thd luft 46 ones. I really ought to dig them out and photograph them.
All the best.

Great work! If I were you, I'd be looking for a base and some background scenery: those models are a diorama that is crying out to be built, and it would look brilliant.
The Horten designs are truly elegant, to a level unmatched by all but a very few aircraft, and you have done them more than justice here. Bravo!

Cheers, everyone. I live in a 400 sq ft apartment and there isn't really any room for proper dioramas, so I just use the tarmac bases I built years ago and pose the gear and figures accordingly. Any upward mobility in terms of more amenable housing in Vancouver has now evaporated, so I work with what I have.

Me too, Alan. I have only a few unbuilt ones left now.
