IDF Chieftain Tank

From Apollo and Soyuz, to Gerry Anderson, Irwin Allen, Star Wars and Trek to Babylon 5, Battlestar Galactica and those strange, doe-eyed Japanese school girls...to any model kits you can think of, that only exists in imagination.

IDF Chieftain Tank

Post by splash »

The IDF ordered Chieftain tanks from the British Government and received 3 prototype tanks to evaluate but due to unrest in the Middle East the government changed its mind and never lived up to it’s promise’s and never supplied the final order.

This was built as part of the “What might have been” GB

The kit is the very old 1/76 Airfix Chieftain tank.

I think most people made comments during the GB. It's good that Alan has put the model here but, like a lot of others, I followed the build during the GB and so have seen it before.

I agree with Daz and celt, though: that is a very nice piece of work.
